Early Intervention
and
Family Services

The first three years of a child's life are critical.
During this time, the core personality develops and the intellectual and social foundations of an entire life take root. Early intervention can make a huge difference in the life of a child with developmental disabilities, and this is the focus of many of our activities."

-- Paula Ray,
MS. Ed., Psy.D, Program Director, Atwater Park Center

Center-Based Services
Children attend the center-based program from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on weekdays in an inclusive environment that integrates the needs of those with and without disabilities. Curriculum is play-based and complemented by therapeutic activities designed by professionals from a broad spectrum of therepeutic and educational fields.

Home-Based Services
The child development staff provides in-home activities to stimulate infant development across all domains. Home-based services are offered one to two times weekly when appropriate.

Case-Management Services
Case management as well as group and educational support services help families meet all their basic needs to allow them to more fully participate in meeting their child's needs.

Child-Caregiver Playgroup
Playtime Partners is an intensive eight-week workshop for children and caregivers. Play partners gather weekly in small groups to engage in stimulating activities that promote development and expand play skills. Additional coaching is available.
